————————————–
In parts 1, 2, and 3, we discussed the self-esteem, health, and sex benefits of strength training.
These benefits are the benefits you directly get from strength training.
Strength training also has indirect benefits.
You only get these benefits after you train for strength consistently, manage to get in shape and build a level of strength significantly above average.
Indirect benefits of strength training are the most delicious ones because, usually, you don’t start training for strength with these benefits in mind. They are a sweet bonus but that doesn’t mean they are not important.
Consistent strength training will earn you crucial skills for life, which you can benefit from as long as you live.
Let’s begin.
1. Self-Discipline
Self-discipline is the kind of discipline that is hardest to get.
Discipline in the army or at the workplace is easier to achieve because there’s always someone breathing on your neck and punishments are quick and swift.
Self-discipline is hard to get because most of the time nobody is watching you and you will not be eager to punish yourself for failing to get disciplined.
Self-discipline can be hard to get but it’s also the most rewarding kind of discipline.
The discipline you get when someone is breathing on your neck will immediately disappear the moment that person is removed from your life. On the contrary, self-discipline is earned permanently because you can’t remove yourself from your life.
In addition, self-discipline is all yours, so you collect the royalties all by yourself.
When you have self-discipline, you can build businesses, relationships, and systems that pay dividends for life.
Building strength is tough.
You have to show up for training, push your body to its limits, eat right, sleep right and do these consistently for an extended period of time.
Doing these at the same time requires a tremendous level of self-discipline. But, when your hard work handsomely pays off as your self-esteem, health and sex life flourish, you will experience the rewards you get from self-discipline.
You will see first-hand results of a long project where most of the steps are difficult, boring, painful and tedious. Any other project you take on in life will involve similar steps. Only after you can deal with these steps, you will be successful in life.
When you earn this ability by strength training, then you will be able to apply it to making money, building relationships or whatever else you want to build.
Self-discipline is a must for success in life and strength training will give it to you.
2. Better Posture
Posture is one of the most important but at the same time one of the most neglected parts of a man’s physique.
Previously I told you the story of Robert Ringer who went from broke to earning $850,000 in a year (in 1960s dollars), just by changing his posture. Ok, he changed some other things too but the most important thing he changed was his posture.
A weak posture signals weakness to the outer world and the weak get eaten.
Strength training will build you stronger muscles and stronger bones, so your posture will automatically improve.
3. Better Fitting Clothes
When you are in shape, even the simplest t-shirt will look good on you.
When you are out of shape even the most expensive clothing will not save you.
When I was out of shape, shopping for clothes was torture to me. Everything I wear would look lousy and it was disappointing to see my body in the mirror in the changing room.
Now, I go out and buy whatever I want to wear. I like wearing fitting clothes and they fit like gloves to my v-taper-shaped body.
The way you dress is important and a physique in shape will make your clothes look good on you.
4. Better Safety
Have you ever watched a documentary about wildlife? Of course, you have.
When predators hunt, they always go for the weakest prey. The weak get eaten, the strong survive.
Humans don’t eat other humans but if you observe your surroundings, you will notice that the weak are always taken advantage of.
At school, the weak get bullied. At work, the weak end up doing the dirty and tedious work. Humans are wild animals and when they smell weakness they prey on it.
When you build a strong physique, it will be enough to deter the predators from preying on you. They will go for the weaker targets.
Nobody will want to mess with you or your family. You can then relax and mind your own business.
5. Rise Above Average
Being average is a curse for men. The average man is a paycheck away from broke and he is weak. He has trouble attracting women. The life of an average man sucks. Being an average man will even kill you.
Consistent and successful strength training has the ability to catapult you up to the top 1% of the men. When you get all the benefits we mentioned up to now, you will automatically rise to the top.
If you train right, you will leapfrog to the top league in a matter of 1-3 years.
Conclusion
