From the moment he was born, the modern man’s life path is already decided.
Be born-go to school-get a job-get married-have kids-retire-die.
Playing by the rules of society is not a path to greatness. It’s a path to mediocrity.
There’s no joy to be found in mediocrity. Women can get away with being average, but men can’t. An average man is a miserable man.
Here are the 15 rules of success for the modern man:
1. Your body is your temple, keep it healthy
Health should be your #1 priority at all times because when you lose your health nothing else matters.
Strength training is the healthiest exercise for a man with bonus benefits such as self-esteem, sex, and much more.
Don’t be fat. Being fat is unhealthy.
Reaching your ideal physique is tough but maintaining it is infinitely easier.
2. Don’t settle
Most men quietly settle for their lot in life. Not you.
If another man can be rich, why can’t you?. If another man can get hot girls, why can’t you? If another man can travel the world, why can’t you? If another man moves to a better city or a better county, why can’t you?
Your limits are only on your mind.
It’s your fundamental right to pursue your goals. Don’t stop until you get what you want.
In modern society, ambition gets a bad reputation. However, ambition is perfectly natural. Embrace your ambitions and work tirelessly to achieve them.
Your ambitions are your business, not anybody else’s.
3. Time is your most precious asset, use it wisely
Investing your time to improve yourself will pay dividends in the long run. Think long term.
Remember, TIME = LIFE.
Wasted time is wasted life.
Watching TV, killing time on social media, playing video games, watching porn have zero benefits in the long run.
Don’t drink or at least cut down on your drinking. When you binge drink, you write the next day off.
4. Always be working to be self-reliant
A man has to fend for himself. Relying on other people is unsafe.
Self-reliance is a must to live your life on your own terms. Don’t live other people’s lives.
Your ultimate goal should be to be self-reliant at all times.
5. Learn how to deal with boredom
The time spent in investing yourself will involve a lot of boredom and loneliness. Humans are terrified of boredom so they are always on the lookout for their next entertainment.
Loneliness is a luxury. Learning how to deal with boredom is a must when you are working long hours on your financial independence.
6. Have the courage to fail
At school, you are taught to be terrified of failure but real life doesn’t work that way.
Like MJ DeMarco said, failure is the sweat of success.
Each failure will teach you valuable lessons which can’t be taught at school or anywhere else.
Be bold. Timid men get shit on. There’s no greatness in the comfort zone. Always be willing to take intelligent risks
Remember. One success erases all the failures.
7. Eliminate shame
People will always try to shame you into mediocrity.
Shame is a slave emotion.
It’s usually the result of breaking the rules. As long as you don’t break the law, you don’t have to follow the rules society imposes on you. They want you to play by their rules so that you end up being miserable just like them.
When you live your life on your own terms, others will try to shame you into their pathetic level:
All your peers are working a job. What’s wrong with you?
Why are you not getting married yet? When will you be a grown man and have kids?
Why are you taking unnecessary risks by building your business? Don’t you know that 90% of the new businesses fail?
Why don’t you date the girls in your age group?
The answer to all of these questions is –it’s none of your business.
There are no rules. Only laws.
8. Never stop learning
Education doesn’t end the moment you graduate from college.
In fact, what you learn at school is mostly garbage. You have to unlearn a lot of what you learned at school.
Be humble and keep learning. Education is mostly free on the internet.
You will never know it all, but knowledge is power. The more knowledge you accumulate, the more success you will have.
9. Never fear rejection
Most men can’t handle rejection, so they never ask for what they want.
Don’t hesitate to ask for what you want. If you don’t ask for it, you will not get it. Nothing is given to a man on a silver plate. You must go and get it.
Rejection is an inevitable part of being a man. Don’t let it faze you.
10. Practice financial discipline at all times
Spend less money than you make.
Lack of financial discipline will destroy you even if you make a million dollars a month. There are too many ex-famous athletes or celebrities who lost everything not because they weren’t rich but because they were reckless with their spending.
Consumerism is a disease. Strive to be a producer instead of a consumer.
The only valid reason to acquire debt is for investing in your business.
11. Make money
Forget about all the societal conditioning that money doesn’t buy happiness, money is evil blah blah blah.
Money is a necessity. If you don’t have your own money, you have to ask for it from other people.
Money buys you freedom. If you have money, you can do whatever you want.
Without freedom, you will always be a slave.
A job is not a good way of making money because it severely restricts your freedom. Building your business is a must.
12. Stop caring what others think of you
Other people want to keep you down. Everybody secretly wants you to fail. They will try to instill in you doubts about yourself. If you doubt your worth, abilities, and potential, you will not be successful.
You don’t need anybody’s approval. Seeking approval will weaken your mind. Refuse to accept the limitations that others try to impose on you.
Believe in yourself and you will eventually succeed.
13. Always be willing to walk away
A willingness to walk away from any deal, job, or relationship is a reliable indicator of non-neediness, abundance mindset, power, fearlessness, self-respect, integrity, freedom, strength, confidence, and peace of mind.
If you are not willing to walk away, others will smell your weakness and take advantage of you, which will cause you your inevitable ruin.
14. Focus on solutions, not problems
No matter your stage in life, there will always be problems in your life.
Most people focus on their problems and constantly complain. Complaining will not solve problems. Worse, when you complain, your brain will perceive it like you are doing something about the problem. That makes the problem harder to solve.
Resist the urge to complain about your problems and focus on the solutions.
Treat your problems as a training method to become wiser and stronger.
Hardship will forge your character like steel.
15. Start today
There will never be a perfect time to start working on your goals.
Start today.
Even if you can only work on a worthy goal for only 1 hour today, it’s still better than doing nothing.
These working hours will add up with time and before you know it, you will start to accomplish one goal after another.
