Life is already hard enough. Don’t make it harder by paying the price for the mistakes that other people make.
Let me be the first to say that it’s impossible to fully proof yourself from the mistakes of others. But you can avoid many of them if you have the right kind of mindset.
Here are 15 ways to avoid paying the price for other people’s mistakes:
1. Avoid associating with losers
Losers are losers not because of a few mistakes. Their loserdom is the result of millions of mistakes that add up.
If you surround yourself with losers, their loser habits will rub off on you.
2. Avoid following fads
Human behavior is greatly influenced by social proof. Millions of people can’t be wrong, right?
Wrong.
You have diet fads that claim calories don’t matter, popular self-improvement books that claim you can have everything you want by sending your wish to the universe, social media (the mecca of attention whoring), and all other types of bullshit.
If you think that only stupid people fall for fads, think again. I’ve known many smart people to proudly tell me that they are following the latest bullshit fad diet, doing meditation or yoga in the name of self-improvement, binge-watching the latest popular stupid tv shows and not being able to shut the fuck up about them. Real self-improvement is achieved through action.
Here’s a rule of thumb for you:
If millions of people are doing it, it’s wrong.
If what the majority of the people are doing was right, then the majority of the people would be winners. But the opposite is true.
Resist the innate human urge to join the majority. They will steer you wrong.
3. Avoid arguing
Arguing is a waste of time. It’s tempting to argue with someone who is clearly wrong, but you must resist the urge.
It’s incredibly hard to change the beliefs of people even when you present rock-solid evidence against their claims.
If someone is wrong, it’s his mistake. Not yours. Your time is too precious to waste arguing with idiots. Smile, nod, and resume working on your goals.
4. Avoid politics
Politics is a corrupt and rigged game where the voters have zero influence over government policy and the only winners are the ruling classes, the interests of whom clash with the interests of the public.
Yet, millions of people get caught up in politics, believing that if their favorite politician wins an election their lives will be better.
If the direction of your life depends on other people voting for the right candidate you are not in control of your destiny.
You must always be self-reliant. The decisions of other people shouldn’t matter. If you place your future hopes on the decisions of other people, you are guaranteed to be miserable.
The problem with politics is that even if you’re not interested in politics, politics is interested in you. So you not only should not expect politicians to save you but you must also protect yourself from the policies designed to destroy you.
5. Avoid paying taxes
Paying taxes is one of the most direct ways of paying the price for the mistakes that you didn’t make because you will be paying for it with real money which you worked hard to earn.
The government will have zero qualms taking your hard-earned money and happily handing it to an irresponsible, airhead single mom who had drunk sex with a jerk and popped out a bastard child.
They will bail out crooked bankers, make themselves and their families rich at your expense.
In return, you will get scolded for being privileged because you were born a male.
You can’t fully avoid paying taxes but you must do your absolute best to pay the least amount of tax without breaking the law.
6. Avoid supporting a sports team
Lots of people have their lives revolve around their favorite sports team.
I’m not against watching sports but being a fan of a sports team has nothing to do with sports. Sports fans are outsourcing their happiness to people who don’t care about them.
Being a sports team fan is a surefire way to pay the price for the mistakes of others. Both with your time and money.
Your team will sometimes have financial problems because of dumb executives or managers. They will sometimes lose games. The players will cheat and you will find yourself defending them. You will pay for tickets, tv subscriptions, merchandise. It’s a lot of investment for something you have no control over.
7. Avoid feminism and feminists
Feminism is a huge mistake.
If a woman is infected by feminism, she will spend her most fertile years chasing a bullshit college degree and getting a career while pursuing the eat, pray, love lifestyle with zero regard for her future.
When she hits the wall after the age of 30, she will try to find a sucker to marry her and bail her ass out. Don’t be that sucker. She made her own bed and let her lie in it. Don’t pay the price for the mistakes she made. Don’t bail her out.
Moreover, don’t pay attention to loud-mouthed degenerates who claim masculinity is toxic.
It’s hard to find a modern woman who is not infected by the ugly ideas of feminism. Which brings us to our next item:
8. Avoid marriage
Intersexual relationships in modern society are fucked up and it’s not your fault.
Heterosexual men are constantly castigated, while women and homosexuals are exalted by the very people who sing the praises of equality. Talk about hypocrisy.
Ungrateful modern society decided to bash and alienate men who built the western civilization.
They did everything in their power to ruin the nuclear family and now they are expecting heterosexual men to foot the bill. Don’t let them get away with it.
There will be people telling you to man up and get married.
Of course, these people will not be around to help you, nor they can, when things go south. In the case of marriage, the laws are completely against you. The moment she decides she is not happy, you will get divorce raped.
Math doesn’t lie. Divorce rates have gone up to over 50%, and 90% of divorces are initiated by women. Yet, they expect heterosexual men -who they continually bash-, to man up and clean up the mess they created.
Refuse to pick up the tab. It’s not your responsibility to pay the price for their mistakes. You don’t need the government’s approval to have relationships with women.
9. Avoid debt
It’s amazing to witness people getting dumbfounded when a global or local financial crisis emerges.
Financial crises are part of the economy. Let other people get caught up in economic booms, consumerism, and keeping up with the Joneses. They are guaranteed to be badly burned when the economy tanks.
It’s their problem, not yours. When the financial crisis hits, and it will, profit more from your situation that you avoided debt and have the cash to invest.
10. Avoid ideologies, causes or cults
Ideologies, causes, and cults are designed to benefit the people who run the show.
The leaders of the movements are the vicious slave-masters, and the followers are their slaves. They will assign you duties and responsibilities that are neither your duties nor your responsibilities. They will expect you to do things that will benefit them, at your expense.
Don’t be their pawn. Don’t be blinded by their promises. They are not in it for you. They are in it for themselves.
Avoid treating someone or a group of people as your saviors. There’s one and only one savior you can rely on and that’s YOU.
It doesn’t matter if it’s your family members, friends, or other loved ones who follow an ideology. It’s their mistake. Not yours. I would even advise you not to talk them out of it. They will resent you for that. If you want to help them, just do your thing and lead by example.
11. Avoid trying to rescue people who don’t want to be rescued
This is wrong for 2 reasons:
a) It’s arrogance to try to save someone who didn’t ask to be saved.
They will often resent you for your efforts to save them.
b) It implies not paying the price for their own mistakes.
When people don’t pay the price for their own mistakes, they make the same mistakes again.
This is why lots of homeless people go back to being homeless a few years after they win the lottery.
Let them pay the price for their own mistakes. Not you.
12. Avoid being a shoulder to cry on
Women with abusive partners will often run to nice guys when their beloved jerk hurts them.
She probably ignored decent guys in favor of jerks while failing to spot all the red flags that point to a looming abusive relationship.
You must resist the innate male urge to save a damsel in distress.
That’s her mistake and she should be the one paying the price for it. Not you.
13. Avoid business partners
Avoid business partners even if they are a family member or a good friend.
Lots of otherwise good familial relationships and solid friendships go down the drain because of conflicts in a business partnership.
Business is brutal. When you have a business partner, you are not in full control of your financial destiny. You must always be in control.
A man’s financial well-being is one of the most important pillars of his well-being.
It must be handled by the man himself. Other people’s mistakes shouldn’t be able to ruin it.
14. Avoid college except for STEM
Colleges are brainwashing centers infested by social justice warriors. Social justice warriors are not your friends.
When you go to a college for a non-stem degree, you are not only ruining your future by getting a worthless degree, but you are also financing the very people who are actively working to destroy your life.
15. Avoid following the rules
Millions of people have bought into the slave route of “go to school-get a job-get married-retire at an old age-die”.
Probably, your family bought into this bullshit too. I’m sure that they are well-meaning but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a mistake.
Rules are designed to enslave you.
Don’t follow the life path that’s laid out for you before you were even born. That route is guaranteed to make you miserable. All your life will be spent on things you don’t want to do.
You didn’t come to this world to be miserable. You came to thrive.
The only rules worth following is your own rules. Make your own rules. The only person who is capable of making your life better is YOU.
